That doesn't sound right.

That doesn't sound right.
For comparison I just ran Speed Test on my devices in my house:
AT&T iPhone 4S "4G": 6.58Mbps down, 1.50Mbps up
Verizon iPad 3 LTE: 18.27Mbps down, 12.74Mbps up
I'm also surprised they aren't being more aggressive about a LI expansion, given the population density and relative affluence of the area. Especially Nassau.
freeport here, (south side) no LTE on the island yet...i feel like there should be cause we have towns on the island that have more ppl in them then citys. If the town were to be incorporated as a city it would be the second largest city in New York behind New York City and ahead of Buffalo, and it would be the 16th largest city in the country, placing itself behind Columbus, Ohio with a population of 787,033, and ahead of Fort Worth, Texas, which has a population of 741,206. The town's population density is also greater than that of Columbus and Fort Worth.
I'm in Woodmere, first town over the Queens/Nassau border, and as soon as I cross from Queens into Nassau, I drop to "4G" from LTE on my AT&T iPad. I'm also surprised they aren't being more aggressive about a LI expansion, given the population density and relative affluence of the area. Especially Nassau.
I'm from Baldwin but I'm always in south Freeport haha. Small World.
Bummer that the Island doesn't have LTE yet. Neither does my campus (UMass) so I guess I won't get to experience the speed unless I'm in the city.![]()
Welp.....no LTE![]()
Nope. Ugh I wish they'd speed it up (no pun intended)
They should.....I think soon though.
Nassau county on AT&T has full lte coverage with speeds ranging 15-30mbps down 15 up
Verizon more saturated Around 6-10 down
