How is it possible to stream your desktop to your Apple TV 2?

Can someone help me do it, I'm new to the Mac so I'm not really good with terminal or anything. Sounds a bit over my user knowledge. If this was Windows I could do it like that, but I love my Mac!!!

That is a new feature being touted for Mountain Lion, which is supposed to be ready sometime this Summer I think.
