Yep, I found the same Wikipedia article you did, and already saw that outdated device. I knew you'd try to pull that dinosaur out as an example, which is why I qualified my question. Can you read with comprehension? Or are you that blinded by Apple hatred?

What currently available device has a display with pixel density to match Apple's Retina Display? I'll save you the trouble of digging up some more FUD... None.
Well, it's important who developed the technology/device first. Obviously Apple can not claim this spot. I am not sure what difference it makes whether anyone else is producing the phones with the same pixel density right now but yes they do. Check this nice Sharp 936SH (ppi 337) So I think my comprehension is OK.
BTW, why do you use the word like "troll" and "hate" so much in your posts?

No one here has mentioned that the retina display is an IPS panel, while the panels on Macbooks are still TN panels. So yes the retina display is better in that aspect but in regards to resolution retina is just a marketing scheme. If you look at laptops they are reaching a limit of usable resolution. People are already complaining about the font on the high-res macbook pros. I would much rather have an IPS panel than a 13 MB with a higher resolution screen.

MacBooks will not scale text and iPhones and iPads will scale up. What this means is that higher-resolutions will make fonts look smaller on MacBooks, and iPhones and iPads will have sharper text instead.

Dubels is right these are not IPS screens yet, however one thing i love about Apple Displays is that they're simple to use and when you tweak the brightness you don't loose so much contrast and quality like you do on many displays
At my PC Workstation i keep thinking if i should fry my eyes or actually see what I'm editing which is a big pain

Mine just says "Glossy, widescreen 15.4 inch display (1280 X 800)". Will the current MBP look significantly better? I want to see if it's worth an upgrade.

Just a moment. The 13" MacBook Pro, MacBook, and MacBook Air, have 1280x800 (13.3" glossy screens). The 15" has a 1440x900 or 1680x1050 glossy or anti-glare (only 1680x1050 for anti-glare) 15.4" screens, and for the 17" it has a 1920x1200 glossy or anti-glare screen. So they are better resolution screens than your Dell. I don't have an iPhone 4 to compare to.
