Both iPads I have are faster in wifi. 3 G is slightly faster in safari. No lag opening up apps in either.

I should have clarified. My 3G unit is not running in 3G mode (it doesn't even have a SIM in it). Not terrible, but for both iPads running on wifi, the 3G model just seemed a little slower.

My update to 4.3 caused my iPad to be INCREDIBLY slow/buggy

I restored and updated in the process and it works great now.

Initial update was quite bad though

Ten days straight and not a single crash/reboot/slowdown, I must say it worked flawlessly on my part.

Well, almost flawlessly, except for the fact I can't downgrade to 4.2.1 in case someone would buy it from me, the 3G baseband has changed.

Loving 4.3 and especially the 4 and 5 finger multi-touch gestures. I hope they don't take those away, because once you use them you really do get attached. :D

I also had the same problem. My safari was so slow I could not understand what everyone was talking about when they said it was so fast. I did a restore and now everything is fast and safari is real fast.:p

I also hope they wont torture us by removing the gestures like they did with the rotation lock

A problem with one app since the upgrade, MiTube has stopped working. I get an error message saying it 'cannot connect to YouTube'.

If it's an app problem of course there will not be any fix as it was pulled from the store soon after launch. Pity it was nice to be able to download YouTube clips to look at later.

Anyone else see this problem?

Anyone else seeing battery issues since the update?

The battery on my ipad has been great over the past year. There appears to have been a dramatic drop in battery life in the past week since the update.

The things I've noticed since 4.3 update:
* time creep. Using the Emerald Time app, I see gradual increase in "network time" vs iPad clock time. Had same issue in 4.2.
* missing pix. In App store, I'm seeing many blue squares with '?' instead of a picture.
* battery. Seems to drain battery a little faster than before.

Guess I'll reinstall and see if that fixes problems.

There's a thread over in the iPhone forum relating to ios 4.3 decreased battery life. It seems disabling "Ping" under restrictions has corrected this for some people. I turned it off myself seeing as how I don't use Ping.

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, while I could be missing it, there doesn't seem to be a "ping" button within the restrictions on the Ipad.

So far it's been running very well. I haven't run into any major issues or incompatibilities with Apps.
I did noticed a memory leak somewhere, but it may be caused by an App I haven't identified yet.
I also enabled Gestures and in some cases, the Pinch to Home Gesture takes a while to respond.

4.3 works fine here except at times after watching a you tube video started from a web page , when returning to the web page it turns white and safari crashes?

Same here. Also, some pages load to white when I return to them.. When I go to open a new one the white one is represented as fully loaded in the thumb nail, but full screen is white. All this culminates to a crash back to the home screen

Funny, I bought a used iPad from a developer, was running 4.2.1 . I thought it was fast and didn't see any problems.
I decided to upgrade to 4.3, and every now and then Safari would crash(happened 4x) and some third party app(happened 2x) would crash and back to the home screen.

I am glad I sold it. I may buy iPad2 or iPad3 OR Windows slate running Windows8.

Sounds like the upgrade is working for most of us.
Is it possible to do a rollback to 4.2.1 if it turns out my vintage, long-out-of-date iPad ;) has any issues after the update?

Thanks

Don't update to iOS 4.3!...

That's a stupid thing to say in the midst of a thread where most people aren't having problems. Can you not read the other posts around you?

I'm new to iPad, even received mine the same day 4.3 came out I think. The only problem I had was my firewall interfering with the update. Other than that, my iPad is running flawlessly as far as I can tell.
