I’m using both the 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max right now and due to the better weight distribution, the 16 Pro Max feels lighter and more comfortable to hold. (Without a case). Go figure.

Been trying the 16 Pro Max alongside the 16 Pro and oddly enough the 16 Pro Max feels lighter than the 16 Pro due to the weight distribution over a larger surface area.

So the only pending consideration to keep the 16 Pro Max is the overall comfort using the larger size for day to day activities.

Give it a shot.

After using both 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max simultaneously for a week, the 16 Pro Max feels lighter ironically due to better weight distribution across the larger surface. The 16 Pro feels denser and top-heavy so not as pleasant to hold, go figure.

It’s a big phone, but it feels no more cumbersome than the 15 pro max.

I wish I would have gotten the smaller size personally because right after I got mine work decided we can’t work from our phones anymore and I would prefer the smaller size since I try and spend less time on my phone.

If someone is on the fence and uses their phone a lot would probably benefit from the increased size provided it’s Not too big.

Once you try Pro Max, you’ll never come back…

You’re right, I tried it once and will never make that mistake again.
My first Apple phablet was the 8 Plus, and I wasn’t completely satisfied about it (great battery life for the time, but poor screen to body ratio). I tried again with the 14 pro max and I was really really satisfied, even if the weight was a little on the heavy side. But battery life and display were amazing. 16 Pro Max is even better.

Having options are good, if only they were existed… something with a 5.4-5.8” screen would be nice to have, instead of having 3 phone versions with the same screen sizes.

The iPhone 16 Pro Max is amazing. The display is vibrant, battery lasts all day, and the camera zoom is a big upgrade. I’ve loved the smooth performance, but the size can be a bit cumbersome for one-handed use. Despite that, I’m really happy with the upgrade.

Pocket? Who in their right frame of mind puts on a pair of nice trousers and a shirt and then stuffs a modern day phablet in their pockets amongst other things. Welcome to the 21st century …🤣
If I had to carry any kind of bag with me on a daily basis, I'd carry an iPad Mini instead of a tiny iPhone 16 Pro Max Ultra brick.
I actually started wearing a (crossbody) fanny pack, in preparation for upsizing my phone lol. I hate things in my pants/trouser pockets which is one of the reasons I’ve always had the smallest possible iPhone (SE1 for many years and now SE3). But with strong rumors that soon the smallest iPhone will be >6”, I decided to get it over with and get a fanny pack 😂😭, and at that point might as well get a Pro Max.

I’ve always also used an iPad Mini in combination with my small iPhone, but I only use the Mini at home. I don’t want to go that big for a carry-everywhere device, even in a fanny pack. Plus the fanny packs I have are small, which I prefer, too small for an iPad Mini. I may even ditch the iPad Mini if I find the iPhone Pro Max replaces my iPad Mini usage enough, which is the reason I’m going Max instead of the smaller Pro. The PM is smaller than I’d prefer for a home device, but I did find the iPad Mini slightly too large as well, so we’ll see. Also my hope for the Mini was that it could totally replace my phone usage at home, but there are still many times I need to go grab my phone, and sometimes I just carry both around the house which is annoying. So I’m looking forward just having the PM for that reason. But honestly, the size will be overkill for me when I’m out of the house. I’m a very light phone user (but heavy iPad Mini user at home). But the upgraded camera and storage will be very welcome.

Another thing that will make using a large phone tolerable for me is I found a good grip accessory called Snap Grip. It’s very slim and does passthrough MagSafe charging so I don’t ever have to remove it, and of course it will let me use my phone securely one-handed. I went ahead and put one on my SE3 for now and it makes a world of difference even for that smaller size (which is even bigger than I prefer).

We’ll see how this whole experiment shakes out. I’m sad that it’s come to fanny packs and grip accessories for me, but what can you do in these situations but try to make lemonade.

Many people ignore there is a “one hand keyboard “ available for that. It is useful when you have to use it one handed.
These iPhone 16 series just suck. My 16 PM getting hot AF while doing nothing.
You clearly have a defective unit (or a software problem). That’s not normal behavior.
