This is less a plea for help (I'm assuming it's not user-fixable), and more of a "how did Microsoft even manage to do this?"
Any other app I'm aware of, audio on iOS 26 is pretty straightforward: By default the sound comes out of the speakers. If I hit the volume up/down buttons, the sound gets louder or quieter, and the sound adjustment bar moves. If I put in my AirPods, the sound starts playing through them. If I connect to my car, audio starts playing through the Bluetooth system.
Occasionally an app will offer the choice of sound output (based on what I'm connected to, and maybe a "phone" option that plays through just the ear speaker at much lower volume), but otherwise it makes sense and is handled at the OS level.
Except Teams: It seems to vary a bit depending on what was connected when it was launched, but I'm sitting here in a meeting with the audio completely "stuck", and this is pretty much par for the course.
Basically, I'm curious how an app can completely override all audio output control on the phone, including the hardware volume buttons. Why Microsoft would break things that badly is a question I consider answered after decades ofusing dealing with their software, I'm just curious how this capability exists in iOS without other apps horribly abusing it.

- Volume up/down buttons: The little OS-level animation of them being pressed reacts, but sound volume doesn't change at all.
- Swipe down and adjust the volume from the slider: slider reacts and shows a phone icon, but volume doesn't change at all.
- Connect AirPods: Sounds keep playing through phone speakers. Same with other Bluetooth speakers.
- Use Teams audio control to select "phone" instead of "speaker": No change, still on speaker.
