I bought the 2019 base model 15" MacBook Pro, and I think it's a really solid machine - great work horse.

I have no keyboard issues or any issues for that matter, and I really tax it.

I was wondering how other purchasers of this product were holding up.

Mine is working great. Great battery health, 98% after 10 Months of use. No screen issues. the only issue I experience since I had it is that the space grey coating is coming off a bit next to the trackpad. Never had that before

I think we may have really lucked out on this model. Mine works great, no issues. Keyboard is great. Seems like the 16" from 2019 has more issues than the 15" from 2019.

Since this model was discontinued, I think we may have support for longer. I've heard something like that in the past.

I think you are right, I was a bit shocked to see the 16” so close after the 15” release but im glad with my 15”. It is the fourth version of this model so i think It is the most reliable one.

I went through two Failed 2019 improved butterfly keyboards last month. Second one a couple days after receipt from Apple. Both coincidentally at critical times.

four keyboards in four years. that’s a long time to push the same failing component.... I think I’m done. Sure it’s gone in new models, but the other differentiating hardware and software features can only allure me so much when the keyboard craps out on a deadline.

I mean as long as you don’t eat crackers on top of your keyboard shouldn’t you be fine? It’s when particles get underneath right?

I would like to believe that but doesn’t fit my use. It’s either in a dock or in a conference room.

the L- key snapped just a few days after getting it back from the last repair on the updated design. The 19 MBP will be replaced. I can’t trust it.
