I’m thinking about picking up a 12 leather case from apple, I’ve recently dropped my silicone me it’s now in a pretty bad way. I just have two questions about the leather…

1- How does the actual leather hold up? I’m not bothered about the colour as I’ll be getting black, more bothered about peeing, cracking and the fit.

2- I know the leather has a slightly interior different design to the silicone case. It doesn’t have the felt/microfibre going up the sides, just on the back. Has this caused marks on the stainless steel for anyone? I’m just thinking of dirt and dust getting stuck between the phone and case.

Any feedback would be great!

Hey!

Might be worth having a peek through some pages here. Leather Cases - Patina Proud Photos

I’m sure you could ask the question here, I’ve read a lot the quality isn’t as good.

I’m personally using a Nomad. The non leather sides are actually nice because any scrapes won’t take chunks out of leather. It has a micro fibre lining.

I am now using it. Great case. Like you, i have Black leather case…so, no worries on discoloration. Fit is good…the lower corners do peel back easier than others. I just use a touch of Elmer’s glue and voila tight fit! :D

Currently using california poppy leather case for my iPhone 12 pro max gold. I was worried about shiny steel getting scratched but it’s been more than 3 months and not even a tiny scratch on it’s steel frame, absolutely flawless. Finish and durability both have been upped this year. Feels super premium to use.
