How load are the speakers on the MBP?

I'm really thinking of getting one of these and im wondering how loud are the speakers?

You'd think the load would break your back, considering the 18" sub in the MBP.
Surprisingly, though, I hardly notice the extra 37 lbs.

Hey, it's a reasonable question. My PowerBook G3's speakers are louder than my iBook's speakers. Some are louder than others.

I listened to a portion of a podcast and one song at the highest level ... results: passable, but laptops are not known for having speakers that will rock anyone's world.

If the speakers are similar to the one's in my recently-outdated 15"PBG4, you'll be pretty surprised that what you're hearing is coming out of a laptop, though at higher volumes, the audio becomes sort of "flat".

Sorry to be blunt, but Laptops arn't know for there cubic size for airflow are they?

Anyway, good pair of headphones will sort things out.
