How long did it really take for you to get your High Resolution Pro?

I just ordered a Core i7 15" HR Pro... (and a 1TB drive to replace the 500GB one) :D. I'm Extremely excited. First New computer since I received a 400Mhz iMac SE in 1999. I've been buying used computers since then, a 15" 1.5Ghz PowerBook (Which I considered perfect in everyway, my favorite computer of all time) and my current computer is a dual 1.8Ghz G5.

But um... expected date of delilvery May 10th - 14th!:eek: I can't wait that long! :rolleyes: I almost considered not getting the HR option... but I plan on keeping this for at least 5 years, and wanted to fill it to the brim with as many options as possible.

So... did it really take 5 - 7 days for your MacBook Pro to ship?

I kinda went on a shopping spree :D but the base computer itself came out to $2118, because I got a student discount :rolleyes: (the price includes the DVI Adapter too) Its actually why I chose to buy it... I graduate in two weeks (WooHoo!) and would lose my discount then. I also got a reduced price on the AppleCare for being a student.
 
I placed my order for my 15" core i5 MBP with HR Glossy on April 28th and it said it delivers May 6-12.
 
Ordered mine on Sunday... 15" HRES/2.66 i7/4gb/500gb 7200

It took all week for it to change to "Prepared for Shipment". Did that around 3pm today...5 business days. But it's not shipped yet.

They are pretty accurate, unfortunately.
 
Lol. That's nothing. I now live in a smallish town in Australia.

I ordered a 15" 2.53 C2D w/ 320GB 7200rpm HDD on the 26th of MARCH (yeah I wanted a free iPod...). Anyway, the update happened and Apple canceled the order and instead said they would ship me a 2.4 i5 (still with the 320 7200rpm HDD). Expected arrival date: May 3rd. So by then, I'll have been waiting almost 6 Weeks! (At least I still get the iPod free even after one month of the promo finishing).

Moral of the story: Patience is a virtue.

Soon find out if it's worth the wait.

That's probably because your not in the US. Hopefully once you get the MBP it will be worth the wait.
 
15" i7 HR Glossy. See Sig.

Ordered 10am 4/14. Shipped 11pm 4/16. Delivered 4/21 around 11am. Scheduled delivery was 4/22 before 4:30pm. So I got mine a day early. :cool:
 
I'm waiting for my own to get here but it did in fact ship on day 7 from the factory. Not sure if that really helps you or not.
 
I went to the store on launch day and they had the exact i7 17" matte MBP I wanted. I stopped by Frys on the way home and picked up my own SSD drive because they are much cheaper/faster than Apples.
 
I ordered my HR AG 15" on a Monday and got it on Friday of the same week. I did opt for the faster shipping though.
 
I ordered 15,4" i7/500GB 7200 RPM/HR Glossy on the evening of 23rd of April. No activity since then. Delivery estimate between May 5th and May 10th.

if if makes you feel any better I ordered mine 15th April due date is 10th may
 
After 2 days of waiting for the online apple store to ship a CTO 17" i5 antiglare using a student discount, called the local apple store and they had a 17" i7 anti-glare in stock. Cancelled the online order and used a government discount which was same as student discount. It also settled my i5 or i7 decision.:D

Well crap. I ordered from an Apple reseller on the same day, and they said it'll probably be shipped to them in 3-4 business days, and that I'd get it a few days after that. It hasn't shipped yet (they would have emailed me), and so I doubt I'll get it even by the end of next week. I go on vacation on May 8th for around 4 days, so it would have been nice to have it!
 
I got my HR Glossy yesterday 14 days after I placed the order. I got a BTO with a SSD drive. I can't recommend a SSD enough to those who want some real increase in performance.
 
I've been waiting quite a while now. I have too options 1 to buy now and get my MBP or wait till the back to school n get a free ipod touch deal starts...I'm waiting for that but some say that they might not even have it this year or do they have it every year just recently started looking into mac's
