well i ordered a 15" core i5 with high-res glossy screen and a 500gb 7200rpm hd on monday, april 19th and am not expected to get it until this coming tuesday may 4.
now i don't mind it taking that long as i can prepare for my final projects without the distraction of a shiny new computer, but i can't say i wasn't initially disappointed.

Ordered mine the day after they came out (Wed.) and got it the following Wed. One week exactly - and a day earlier than the scheduled delivery date.
If your looking for a high res AG with i7 just drive down to the Apple store and pick it up...no waiting. However if you want the high res and glossy.. Be prepared to wait.

The Apple store I went to mentioned the i7 (either 15" or 17") was the only model stocked that gave you the option of matte/anti-glare/hi-res.
Give the store a call and ask. Hopefully you talk to someone who is willing to actually do the leg work and give a factual answer.

I ordered my 15" MBP i7, 500GB@7200rpm, 8GB ram HR-AG on April 21st, and its currently in Shanghei and UPS says it will arrive on May 6th, I hope it comes earlier than that :S didn't realize it would take this long.
I'd wait until the free iPod deal! (That's what I'm doing) It came out May 27th last year

Beautiful computer, probably not really worth the high $$$$, but it was time to replace the old one, so wtf.
In my opinion, the matte screen is the only way to go, and the extra dollars and few days of waiting won't matter as I keep putting this to use.

I ordered my i7 15" hi-res at 21. april, it shipped 28. april and will be here on monday or tuesday latest. It has been stuck in Arnhem Hub in the netherlands since thursday, but I think it will be here in Oslo, Norway at that time.
The estimated time on delivery was 5.-7. may, so it will be here a couple of days earlier than planned.

Ship date initially in 3-5 days, then 5-7 days and now yesterday order status changed to shipping on May 17.
Maybe one month delay before shipping is because Apple Education store orders, as this one was, always receive second class service from Apple.

I ordered a 15"/i7/high-res glossy/512GB SSD model on Sunday, April 25. It shipped yesterday, 5 days after I ordered it. I got 2 - 3 day shipping so I expect it to arrive on Tuesday.

My 15'' i7 Glossy Hi-Res took I ridiculous 10 days to ship. Ordered on the 22nd, shipped on the 1st.
Ordered basically the same thing except with 7200 RPM drive on the 23rd. It changed to "Prepared for Shipment" -state in about 36 hours ago, and there have been zero changes since.
Just an update...
For those curious, it seems if the shipping time is shorting. It was supposed to take 5 - 7 business days just to ship, but it seems as if my MacBook Pro was finished last night, and will be here by Friday. So that was 5 non-business days to ship.
