Machine 1
Product: Macbook Pro 15 inch mid-2009
Applecare? No
Still working? Perfectly
Number of repairs: 1
Reason: Dropped it from 4 foot and the CD drive broke. Took it into the Apple Store and they replaced it there and then for free, even though it was 2 years old (without Apple Care)

Excellent machine :)

Machine 1:

Powerbook G4, 15", ~2003
still working flawless with 10.4.
no repair whatsoever, upgraded ram myself
exchanged battery once (would do it once more if I'd use the machine anymore)

Machine 2:

MacBookAir, 13", late-2010 | refurb
no applecare
still working flawless
no repair

so far up to 0% problems with Apple laptops since ~10 years (knock, knock). Only thing that was rather difficult was finding ram that worked for the PowerBook, but I didn't know about MR at that time....

Machine 03 will be an 15" rMBP.

Product: MacBook Pro 5,4 (15", 2.53GHz, Mid 2009)
Applecare? No.
Still working? Yes.
Number of repairs: 1 (HDD / IR / Sleep Indicator Light Cable, about 3 months ago).
Reason: It just broke, maybe it happened when I replaced the HDD a year before. First I notice the Sleep Indicator Light won't turn on when I close the lid (sleep), months later the HDD would unmount itself intermittently and won't reboot. $30 fix after I bought the part online, threw in a 256 Samsung 830 SSD while I was at it.
