How long do we need to wait for the Apple Magic Mouse 3?
Or is the newest Logitech mouse to good?
What is the best mouse in your opinion?

I‘m searching for the best mouse which should be also very easy to clean.
Money doesn’t matter.

Best mouse is *very* subjective -- people here seem about equally split between the Magic Mouse and Logitech, where those on one side tend to not particularly like the other option, and there are a fair number who prefer something altogether different.

I agree, though: it has been a long time since Apple has updated the Magic Mouse.

I keep thinking the same! I get the feeling they may have bigger changes in store for the mouse, because it hasn’t changed visually/functionally in a long time now.

Plus they really are in a new age of Macs, and I think it would sell big time. They have to cringe at the amount of Mac users switching to use Logitech MX. Many who still use magic keyboard and all other Mac accessories.

Personally I would take even a few small tweaks…charging port relocated to the front, matte finish, slightly thicker/more ergonomic, remove the apple logo, etc.

Te be fair, the Magic Mouse is a terrible mouse. Yes, it does support some gestures, but the ergonomics are very bad and the build quality is also poor, there are a lot of reports online of these mice having uneven feet and are rocking on the desk. I tried one and in less than 10 minutes it was in the box to be returned. Try it and see if you can tolerate it.

For macOS you need something you can do gestures with. Either a Magic Trackpad or something like the Logitech MX Master 3/3S that has keys that you can assign to Mission Control and Expose.

Coming from Windows, I was a mouse user through and through but due to the nature of macOS relying on gestures, I am using the touchpad 90% of the time and I use a Logitech mouse only in limited cases when I really need to use a mouse. So if money is no object, I would get a Magic Trackpad + a Logitech MX Master 3S, this combo should work well for all usage scenarios.

I've got one word, for you, son:

"Logitech"

I'm surprised we didn't see a "Pro" mouse announced alongside the Mac Studio. Seemed a good time to do it.

Maybe when they finally unveil the Apple silicon Mac Pro we'll see something.

As for the regular Magic Mouse I can't see any changes for the foreseeable future. It got a revamp of sorts with the new iMac in multiple colours so they seem to be sticking with it.

Matte finish would be the worst idea. You would see shiny spaces very soon. Like with every matte thing you touch so often.

I love my Magic Mouse, no need to change anything. 🙂

Unfortunately, I don't think Apple will change the Magic Mouse dramatically enough to satisfy most people for a long time. I can see them moving the port to the front or back of the mouse, but that's about it.

I love the functionality of the Magic Mouse, the build quality, and the seamless integration with macOS. But it's the absolute most uncomfortable mouse I've ever used (pretending like the hockey puck mouse never existed).

It's too low profile for me, causing extreme pain in my hand and wrist after extensive use. The laser is pretty bad too. My Logitech MX actually works on a glass-top desk, the Magic Mouse can have trouble on certain textures of wood desks.

If Apple could put the functionality of the Magic Mouse into the body of the Logi MX Master, I (and I suspect a lot of other people) would be extremely happy!

I have the apple trackpad, apple mouse and just got the Logitech LIFT vertical mouse and Logitech master 3S.
The apple mouse stinks and I never liked using it.

The 3s moves very smooth and I prefer using it over the Master 3 on the Apple Display. something about it jsut moves better than the master 3.

Id try using a combo of the 3s on the right side and the trackpad on the left. you can assign two different scrolling DPIs on the mouse for nicer accuracy.

I've been "tolerating" them since they came out. I use it all day, every day and never once thought it was uncomfortable or in any way difficult to use. My ONLY complaint is it would be nice to be able to charge it and use it at the same time like you can with the Magic Keyboard.

Now, the Magic Trackpad, on the other hand, I don't find comfortable to use at all.

I agree about the charging port, but everything else is perfect with it IMO.

Why would you want the Apple Logo removed? 🤨

Just a design preference. Same with the matte suggestion. I personally feel it would match the Magic Keyboard and Trackpad better. Neither have a visual apple logo, yet both are distinctly Apple. And the Magic Mouse is probably the most easy to recognize Apple product anyway.

Similar to shifting the logo from the front of the iMac to the back on the Studio Display.
