I upgrade when it suits me. My history from current has been 14 Pro, 11, XS, 8, 6.

Unless there is some new feature or change that appeals to me I just stay with what I have. The 14 Pro I now have was due to us deciding to do a tour of Europe this year and next. I wanted the best camera setup I could get for me and my wife.

I probably fall into the 3 years or fewer based on my pattern.

It’s varied. My first iPhone was the 3GS. Then I got a 4, 4s, 5. So upgraded every year. I kept the 5 for three years then got a 6s. 6s-8-XR. Went from the XR to the 12 and have upgraded every year since.

I currently have the 14 plus and I would say that after the XR it’s my favourite iPhone. My first ever plus model.

I plan to grab a 15 pro max this year and keep it for two/three years. That’s the plan, but I love shiny new phones. It’s basically my treat to myself every year (I don’t drink or smoke, don’t travel etc) and I’m lucky enough to be able to buy outright so no hefty monthly contract.

It has worked out cheaper to upgrade every year as obviously a year old iPhone holds its value well. But the phones now are so capable that in all honesty I couldn’t tell the difference in day to day usage between a 12/13/14 model and I do kind of miss the days of keeping the phone a while then being blown away by the upgrade.

My history: 3GS, 4S, Nexus 5, 6, 7 (won in a prize competition), 8 plus, XS, 12 mini, 14 pro max.

Planning to keep the 14 PM 512 gb for a while 🤗
