I plan on having my 6plus for my entire 2 year contract. Happy with the phone and have Apple Care. I'm sure 2 years will pass quickly.

I'm hoping that there will be some iOS software upgrades that will keep things interesting in the meantime.

I plan to have my 6 Plus until it no longer works then I'll upgrade to whatever the latest and greatest tech will be at the time.

Like all previous iPhones I had, they are all terrific. Due to it's quality and ability to last through time, I estimated that I will keep this iPhone 6 for another 2 years at minimum and 4 years tops, never know until that day comes. Everything and everyone change and warp and trickle through time.

No idea. I stuck with the iphone 4 until just recently. Mostly because I was waiting on a larger screen. I'm guessing my next one could end up being the iphone 7s. Unless I switch away from apple.

Until next year when the iPhone 6S comes out.

The way the carriers have modified their plans, it costs nothing more to upgrade every year now easily.

I'll be getting the "S" model next year as it will have the internal upgrades the 6+ should have had...especially to take advantage of multi-tasking coming soon.

I'll keep my trusty iPhone 5 when I sell the 6+ while the market is still good.

At least 2 years. Even though I was able to take advantage of a good deal, I still feel a bit guilty for upgrading to a 6 just a year after getting a 5s, which was an upgrade from a 3Gs.

2 years minimum.

I now have a phone that lasts all day and I only need to charge it 4-5 times a week.

That is going to save me tons of battery cycles. The functionality of not needing a charger within a 24hour period is going to remove the upgrade itch for me for a very long time. I dont think ill even consider upgrading until the 7 comes out, and even then i think i can wait until the 7s plus as long as i can still get 9 hours of screen on time.

The only thing I can see pushing me over the edge to upgrade is if apple goes to OLED from samsung/lg/sharp.

I've been upgrading every year, but buying off contract phones is starting to get expensive so I might keep my iPhone 6+ for 2 years. I was interested in AT&T Next but I don't like the idea of having to give the phone back after a year. No resale value there.

If money were no barrier-every year, as I'm a sucker.

In the real world, it has always been every two years (skipping the 'S').

I have been getting 2 days out of my 6+ during the busy work week. With the larger battery capacity, and fewer charge cycles over the life of the phone, I'll probably go 3 years with this one and hop on the S cycle next. Unless it gets super slow, but my 5 was fine after 2+ years except for the lock button which was repaired for free with the replacement program. OR they make the 5.5" screen fit a shorter frame with the '7'. Other than that, I'll probably hold off.
