I'm looking at getting my M1 MBA's battery replaced. If I book it in to the Genius Bar at my nearest store, how long would it take to replace/service? Is it one of those where I can drop it off and pick it up a couple of hours later or am I looking at longer? I'm out of warranty (if that matters, probably not aside from cost).

Thanks

They have to replace the entire top case of the computer as the battery is sealed into it, so it does take a while, also depends how busy the store is and also if they have to ship it to the repair centre rather than repair in-store. I'd budget a few days - perhaps up to a week, very very unlikely with these models to get it back the same day.

I had one that was replaced within the day, and the other in three working days. It depends on the busyness of the store.
