I have been noticing that backing up takes a looooooooong time. From what i've read this has to do with how the apps are stored... anyway i hope apple works on this, but i just wanted to see how long you guys are waiting for your iphone to back up before your syncs..

Takes less than a minute for me.
Took 10 mins after I had downloaded a couple of apps, now that I've got all the apps I need, backing up takes no time at all.

    20-30 Minutes for me.

    10.3GB of 14.6GB used.

I usually just skip the backup when I'm in a rush to get the content on the device, now.

I've never actually timed it, but it does take absolutely forever. It has to be well over 30 minutes or more. Matter of fact, I just docked my iPhone 3G and it wants to backup, so I'll let it to its thing and then add my info to the poll

update: only took about 6 minutes since I haven't installed anything in the last couple days I guess so that's not too horrible... I tried installing typepad and it crashed/rebooted my phone :(

Under 4 minutes actually. At first it took 20 minutes.

Running 2.0 on iPhone 3G is much better than running it on the original. In my experience atleast.
