How long does it take the MBP to charge

Mine just came in and I plugged it into the wall for its first charge. From what my understanding is, I'm not supposed to turn it on until the light on the magsafe turns green. How long will it take before that happens?

My MBP charges between an hour and a half to 2 hours. I don't know about the first time charge though, I turned it on the minute it got here. 😀

Hm, well I'm letting it to the whole "rest on full for 2 hours thing". Is it ok if I turn it off after that and run the battery down later?

if i cycle my battery its like a few hours to charge
