I don't know if you want to consider an alternative to Apple themselves, but:

I am in UK, and I used these guys:
http://www.macfixer.co.uk/iphone-batterygate-some-thoughts/
They price-match Apple's £25 price (+ Special Delivery shipping), and I posted mine on Monday from Northern Scotland and got it back on Wednesday. Great job. Warranty too. Lots of happy customers. For a non-warranty iPhone, what's not to like!? I am not affiliated, just a happy customer myself.
I am price matching Apple’s offer, effective immediately and running until midnight on Dec 31st 2018. I will offer this on all 5-series models, not just the iPhone SE, 6, 6 Plus, 6s and 6s Plus covered by Apple. All MacFixer battery replacements use genuine batteries and come with a 12 month guarantee plus I can do battery service whilst you wait for all pre-booked repairs. SO if you have an phone whose battery is no longer lasting a full day get in touch.

PS: If you're ever in their area (southern England) and pre-arrange, they'll do it while you wait.

Thanks @mooblie. I'm in Northern Ireland so it might take a few days extra for me if I was to send it away.

There's only one Apple Store here, and that's in Belfast so I'm guessing they would be very busy replacing batteries.
