How long does it take to update to 7.0.6?

I currently have IOS 7.0.4, and was only going to update to 7.0.6, for the security issue.

If I'm on Wi-Fi, and just hit the update option on my phone, how long will it take to update, and will my phone be unusable during that time?

10 minutes and yes, it will be unusable.

It can depend on your phone and can range from a little over 5 minutes to perhaps a bit under 15, so 10 seems like a fair average/estimate.

When downloading, you can use the device. After it is ready to update it will warn you that your device is about to update. You have around 10sec to tap later or update now. When updating the device will not be usable.

If you're updating via iTunes, ignore the projected time-to-completion. It told me 5 hours, took about 20 minutes.
