    Hi guys,

My friend is currently in the USA and he will be leaving back for Ukraine in September. And before he leaves I want to ask him buy the new iPod for me. Could you please let me know how iPods usually appear in stores: right on the day when mr. Jobs shows them at the event or several weeks after this?

It usually takes a good week/ weekend for non-Apple Retail stores

I know from experience, My grandma wanted to buy the 4th gen Nano the day it was released. We called around to every local store. Nobody had them. We called Bestbuy and they said they would be in "early next week". 4 days later we went to Bestbuy and picked one up and it was the only store in a 15 mile radius that had the new ones first.
