How long does os 4.0 take to load?

I have been sitting here for quite some time now and the bar that is labeled "Backing up iPhone" has barely moved.
 
This sucks i been upgrading since 1:00 last nite and its now 11:30 and its still backing up its at like 70%..................im upset
