My MBP will lose about 10% overnight, which is from midnight to around 9 AM, what do you all get?

Mine about 5%, though I usually leave it plugged in.

P.S. Sorry to hijack your thread but do you put your Mac to sleep or shut it down when you travel (on the plane/train etc).?

I have never measured power-loss in sleep, but in answer to the second question: I put my MBP in sleep mode for flights so I can get it out and use it easily. When the stewards turn up with those trays of dee-lish-ious food there is no time for a shut-down :)
