How long for apple care + to take effect?

Its been exactly 7 days since i went to the apple store and added apple care + for the new ipad, but when i go online and check i still see the old warranty date for 2013 instead of 2014... Does it normally get applied immediately or there's a delay?
 
Should be done by now. I called Apple and it was added and effective the same day. I got my welcome kit 2 days later.

Call Apple Direct.
 
Your device is enrolled the second you pay for the applecare +. You may not get anything other than your sales receipt that shows it, but its covered the second your payment is processed.
 
I received a receipt in the mail today, bought in store on 16th. Went online, to Apple Support. It is now showing up. Poor performance by Apple, not sure why such a lag. When I called Apple afew weeks ago they said it was a "new" procedure. The + is for the extra aggravation!
 
I didn't look at mine for a couple days after the purchase, but it was there when I did. My receipt came in the mail today...10 days later
 
any way to get apple care as the ipad is a surprise for someone, and not have the applecare arrive in the mail
 
Got it an hour after I called. Maybe it might be ur credit card or such. Got email confirmation an hour after called and a mail confirmation a week later. Just call them to make sure and also made a claim already since I dropped and cracked the screen. Might return the broken one and get a bigger size too

I went to the store and paid cash!! I doubt its my credit card...
 
I've called them 3 times so far. They keep saying it is 72 hours away.

I purchased Applecare+ at the retail store for both my iPads on March 21st.

I've never seen Applecare take this long to be added to a device.
