How long for Apple to get more stock in the stores?

My local Apple store told me they only had a few watches available on opening day and of course they are now completely sold out. I prefer to buy locally as opposed to online. How long before the stores restock?

You need to keep checking. They usually update stock early in the morning. I was looking for a watch Friday night and every store in Southern California (and there are a bunch) had none showing for store pickup. I checked a few times in the wee hours and right around 8:30 or so, every store around me had the Space Grey 44MM ready for pickup. Snagged one yesterday.

As we speak, a store 14 miles from me has them for pickup. You could always have a friend/relative pick it up for you and ship it to you.

The Apple Store app (and the website) update their inventory at ~8:00 am local time. So check it every morning.

My experience:
Friday night sold out of everything. No local pickup available.
Saturday 7:00 am sold out of everything. No local pickup available.
Saturday 8:00 am sold out of everything. No local pickup available.
Saturday 8:02 am nearly every color/size was in stock and all available for local pickup.

Not much tends to happen on Sundays. Maybe tomorrow. You really never know when a given store is going to get a shipment or what will be in it.

I don't see any GPS only, although I can't imagine why you wouldn't want the cellular model. That's what makes it worth having for me.
