How long for SW to be compatible with MacBook Pro with Retina display

I've used a rMBP for a few weeks and feel
It's premature to use it without SW support. When can I expect SW to catch up with Retina display?
 
Good developers will move quick (if not already).

Bad developers will move slow or implement it poorly.

Hefty companies will move slowly.
