Going on two years now at home.

When I was in school, we used Macs exclusively. From the Apple II to the slot-loading iMac G3s.

That was such an awesome computer at the time.

Expensive too!

Mac SE (w/20MB HD) --> $3,900

Mac II --> $5,500

Those were the days...

Throw in a Laserwriter II laser printer... @ $5,500 as well
I used my inheritance from my parent's death

The Mac II had a HUGE 102 MB HD

Owned one since 2003.

Used them since 1993.

Long time before I could afford one. :eek:

(Apple II before that, but this is a Mac questioned)

1986 for me - Macintosh SE when I worked pre-press at a local rag. Strangely I was given the machine to help the artists and the other pre-press guys wanted none of the mac, I fell in love and it's been that way ever since! I still have a strange hankering to lay my hands on an SE just for nostalgia.

By the way I am so old that I took (along with others obviously) the UK's first 'word-processing' exam - what a laugh now, just typing half a page of text; one copy and past (literally just one paragraph), and a bit of bold and underline - dot matrix printer (super cool then) - ah those were the days (not) lololol.

My only poor experience was the PowerMac 6500/275 with an Avid Video Card that seemed to screw the whole system over.

I've been an Apple Computer user since before Macs existed. I used the Apple II, the Apple IIe, and the Apple IIc in school, but the first computer in our home was the original Macintosh in 1984. :D I was absolutely thrilled to come home from summer camp to find that beauty in our living room!

My family has been a Mac family ever since, save my black sheep gamer brother who is now coming back into the fold. ;)

I've lost count of the number of Macs we (and then I) have bought over the last 24 years, and my mother just bought a new iMac last month, and I'm getting a new MacBook soon. We could have opened a museum.

I've been using Apples and Macs since I was a kid. Couldn't name an age. I got lots of exposure from various institutions since my mother is in the educational field. Didn't really get bit by the Apple bug until I was maybe 12.

That was with an LC 520 and Quadra 900 I think.

Jesus, I'm getting old here.

The Mac SE/30 was an awesome machine at the time.

Counting Macs and Newtons, I've had around 20 over the years.

It sure was!! I get it out now and again to play all the old games like lemmings and prince of persia, word munchers, number munchers

I still have most of my Macs.

I bought a 512 k Mac in 1984. I still have it and it still runs. It's a "Fat Mac" now. I have 26 Macs. They are always more valuable to me than to anyone else so I hang on to them. I upgraded my SE to an SE 30. I'm writing this on a MBP, however, I have two G3s, two G4s and a G5 running also. Plus I own two WinTel machines which I use to upgrade the ROM on my Blu-Ray and other Windows only tasks.
