How long have you been a Mac user?

My parents bought a Quadra 800 when I was 5 in 1993. I played lots of Zoo Keeper on it. 😀 I got my own lime-flavored G3 iMac for Christmas in 1999.

I purchased my first mac in July 2006. I have been a mac user for longer, my school always had them around.

1995 - Family bought a PowerMac 7500 with a whopping 16 MB of Ram and 1GB HD. All for a cool A$5000. We didn't buy a new Mac for another 8 years, it just wouldn't die.

I've been a Mac user all my life, our first mac was the Classic when I was 3.
I have a picture of me using the Classic at that age with a teddy bear on my lap. 😛

First Mac owned: Mac SE in 1987.


So that means longer than you've been alive. 😛

My dad has had Macs for a long time, but the first one I used was a Powerbook 100 back in 5th or 6th grade. I love, and still love, that computer. It had a super spiffy Apple printer, too.

In October 2005 was when I first seriously began exploring the world of Mac....and mid-month I brought home my first Mac, the rev B G5 iMac, and have been hooked ever since! This is now a totally Mac household, all the Windows PCs and Windows software banished.....

I too started using macs in 1984 when my best friend got one. I didn't get my own until 1987 -- a used Mac 512. I was a "switcher" from a Commodore 64.

My first real Mac owning experience was in 2006 with a BlackBook... right before the big influx of Mac buyers (I didn't convert because any advertisement, I converted because of a friend, well... a roommate with an iBook I was with during a 10 day journey around Europe... it was iMovie that initially did if for me).
