How long is the wait?

Okay, this might have been answered in another thread, but it might deal with today.

On Tuesday morning I bought myself an iMac 17", 1.83 GHz, 250 GB HD, 1 GB RAM. It said that it will ship by the 18th, and be at my door about a week later (25th).

Does anyone remember/know if what Apple put will be accurate enough so that I don't need to delay my vacation so that I can sign for it? Thanks!

I would look at the shipper's tracking info; that's way more accurate than anything Apple can give you.

So wait until Apple says it's shipped and they give me the tracking info, then just go with the shipper's estimates? Sounds like a plan.
