it depends on traffic, but usually work takes less than 5 minutes. when i'm back in school will be about 20 minutes. i'm not looking forward to that at all.

Since I take the bus to the U each day, its approximately 40 minutes to get there. The stupidity of it all is that it takes all of about 10-15 to drive... but for $75CAD per term I'll take the bus instead of paying for parking.

Less than 5 minutes?

Awesome. :)

I once had a commute that was 2 hours each way. It was fantastic.

I commute into downtown L.A. everyday and its about 1:50-2:00 hrs each way for a grand total of between 3:45-4 hrs a day. It sucks cause I usually need to get into work by 7:30-8 and im stuck leaving the house at 5:30-6. That's why I just bought myself a macbook air, so when I don't try to sleep I can entertain myself.

Currently about 15-20 min to work. About to move into an apartment above my work, however, so my commute should then be about 12 seconds.

I work for a non-profit organization and the Global Information Center is located on a facility out in the country and so I live in a trailer that is located across the drive way from the facility. Two minutes to get to the office. Not that I leave the office very often anyhow.

Depends on my method of transit. If I take the bus straight across the bridge to San Francisco, it's maybe 20-25 min. If I bus to the BART station and take the BART train, it's about 40 min. If I take the ferry, it's about an hour (including walking to/from ferry terminal). The latter is the most enjoyable of the bunch, though.

How do you commute? Metrolink?

Every day is different, in both time and destination.

The worst is about 2 hours home from Toronto on a Friday night.

Retired. Volunteer driver.

takes me 45 minutes to drop my brother off at the train station, take my sister to school, then go to my school. then about 40 minutes to get my sister after school and go home finally. i'm only 16 and a half.

oh and regarding the poll, i don't think 15-45 minutes should be one option, that's a big gap.

School is 7 miles away and work is about 5-6, which roughly means a commute time of 15-30 minutes (depending on traffic and weather).

How do you commute? Metrolink?

Yeah. I drive to the metrolink...take it to union station...the subway from union station to downtown...then walk to the office from the closest station. Tedious.

I was just on the BART last weekend and I have to admit the seats are more comfortable then the LA subway or the Metrolink. Those green seats are really cushiony and nice compared to the LA transit crap.

Work is about 5 minutes in the car, but would probably be about a 15 minute walk. School is about 10 minutes, and then another 10 spent looking for a parking spot. Our parking is terrible.

45 minutes to an hour by car, depending on traffic. And car is the only way I get to work, I don't do public transit.
