How long is your current computer going to last?

I've been running on a 667 Pentium 3 desktop for the past 5 years and am hungrily waiting for the damn G5 powerbook so I can finally make the switch to mac and have a good college machine. Being a video/audio editor, photographer, and power user, I don't think the G4 is going to cut it for the 4-5 years I need it to last

Currently have the latest and greatest 15" powerbook G4 which is the most I ever dreamed on paying for a computer bar none! How long will it last...mmm...two more years of undergrad and 4 years of dental school.

However I might pick up a desk top when I get in grad school, hey if I got to borrow a $100k, might as well get a new computer too

I envision my Rev. A iMac G5 to last at least another 2-3 years, probably longer. At that point, I'll probably give it to my parents.

I still use my Quadra built back in 1993. It is no longer my "main" machine, only because it can't do the internet tasks fast enough and or clean enough. My B&W G3 is still my primary box, I have yet to "switch" to using my G5 for primary tasks.
