iPad How long should initial setup take?

I just got a new ipad (128 GB, 10.2 inch)-- this is my first ios device since my retina ipad-- which should never have been updated to ios9... My ipad seems to be dawdling at the "it may take a few minutes to set up your apple ID" screen.

I would remain patient and give the iPad some time to think.

Takes 20-30 minutes in my experience

If you have not seen progress in those three hours that your posts seem apart, there is something wrong. Being stuck at a screen is not supposed to happen in my opinion.

yeah, I rebooted, and got my prints taken. Might have been a network outage.
