How Long Should It Take To Export A Slide Show?

Just put my first slide show together this morning, was around 280 pics
it had taken around 1hr to export slide show to itunes But But when i went
to itunes there was no slide show present.
What went wrong?

What exact Mac with what exact Mac OS X version do you use?

What application and application version did you use with what settings exactly to export a slideshow? Can you find any exported video or slideshow via Finder?

OK its a Four week old 2011 13inch i5 MBPro.

Went to Apple store yesterday and they say they have not heard of this and
to try it Gin and take a screen shot of it so they can see?

I already had Two files in iphoto reinstalled then following day it beech balled
continued to do so until i taken back to Apple Monday and they completely
reloaded my library.
