How long is it taking you to charge your iPad pro from dead to 100% using the supplied adapter and cable connected to a US outlet?

At least that. It's slow to charge. My bedside alarm can't get any charge into it at all, but manages any other idevice with ease. So I charge it on the desk in the daytime.

I now try to catch it just before it completes its charge, otherwise it's a dead screen (Home + Power Button x10 sec to reactivate).

I don't know. I plug it in when I go to bed and it's at 100% in the morning.

I usually charge mine over night as well but the reason I asked is because when I went to just top it off yesterday is was charging so S L O W ! It was charging at about 12% per hour which is ridiculous. So I''m running more tests today to see how long it takes.

Well if it keeps me getting 17 hours of usage out of a charge then it can take as long as it wants to charge up. If I can get two years with battery life like that I'd be over the moon.

I plugged it in this morning when it was at 65% and it took it almost exactly 3 hours to get to 100%
    That's too slow.

I just plug it in about every 2nd or 3rd night of use and it is 100% ready in the morning.

With the supplied adapter I get a full recharge in about the same time as my iPhone, when they are each using their supplied adapter. A lot of people on this thread don't seem to realize that the supplied adapter produces a higher amperage so it charges must faster than any other standard USB port

Yeah, my question was not "how should I charge my iPad Pro". Obviously, overnight is optimum. I am trying to establish if I have a problem with this thing since it looks like it should take about 5 hours from dead to 100% and it looks like mine is taking at least twice that long.
I am going to let it run completely down today and not charge it tonight and see how long it takes to charge to full tomorrow.

There is another thread with a long discussion about this, but the main point was that even if you're using Apple's 12W adapter (the one it ships with), it still won't charge while being used. You must turn the screen off and leave it alone in order to actually charge the battery...

Thanks, I'll do a search for that thread you mention.
To be clear, I am not using the iPad while charging other than to take a quick look to see where the battery is at. I don't even login to it so it's just a split second every hour or so.

This is incorrect. It will charge more slowly if you are using the iPad Pro while charging, since you're using power at the same time. But it will still charge. Anyone with an iPP can verify this just by doing it. I have.
