I usually charge mine over night as well but the reason I asked is because when I went to just top it off yesterday is was charging so S L O W ! It was charging at about 12% per hour which is ridiculous. So I''m running more tests today to see how long it takes.
How long is it taking you to charge your iPad pro from dead to 100% using the supplied adapter and cable connected to a US outlet?
There is another thread with a long discussion about this, but the main point was that even if you're using Apple's 12W adapter (the one it ships with), it still won't charge while being used. You must turn the screen off and leave it alone in order to actually charge the battery...Yeah, my question was not "how should I charge my iPad Pro". Obviously, overnight is optimum. I am trying to establish if I have a problem with this thing since it looks like it should take about 5 hours from dead to 100% and it looks like mine is taking at least twice that long.
I am going to let it run completely down today and not charge it tonight and see how long it takes to charge to full tomorrow.
Thanks, I'll do a search for that thread you mention. There is another thread with a long discussion about this, but the main point was that even if you're using Apple's 12W adapter (the one it ships with), it still won't charge while being used.
