How long to zero a HD?

I need to completely erase and zero out two HDs. One is 160GB, one is 80GB. How long does this typically take?

depends on HD RPM, and CPU.

I'd say G5 and Intels can easily do the 80 in 1-3 hr.

Its a dual 1.8ghz G5. Both HDs are 7200 RPM.
