I'm quite new to the world of Macs and wondered, based on those with past experience of such things, how long it might be until Apple chuck out a .1 update to Lion?

Usually it takes roughly 2 weeks. IIRC 10.6.1 took even less.

Oooh, that's good to hear....How much of the common things everyone whines about usually get fixed? - from my POV with Lion, the things I would like to see sorted are slow boot up time, flaky Mission Control that seems to show random selection of what you have open, and Finder windows that forget their view settings.

    Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_5 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8L1 Safari/6533.18.5)

My biggest problem is my iMac freezing when going to watch videos. I hope they fix this problem because my iMac has frozen about 10 times since the upgrade - resulting in a reset of the system. :p
