How long will an 8800gt be an ok card?

It still does a very good job with most tasks. I've been playing Empire Total War on mine with all the settings set to high... But it's been the first game that I haven't been able to crank up the AA on.

It's a late 2007 video card. Right now it's a performance midrange option running around $80-100 on the Windows side.
In its price bracket it has already been replaced by the 4830, 4770, 4850. Otherwise on the nVidia side it's G92 relabels. The 5750 is expected to come in at US$129.
