How long will it take for apps to update? (merged)

Read an article where some app developers can't update their apps yet because the iPhone isn't available in their country yet or their order hasn't arrived yet. Probably going to take a few months before updated apps become the norm

Ah, good point. We got to wait untill november/december before we get 4G on the iPhone 5 here in Denmark, and waiting for apps to be updated for wide screen is going to be about the same time probably. Still, having the iPhone 5 now, is not a bad thing either

I'm glad that most of the major apps have already been updated, but I agree. I hope eBay and others get updated soon.

Major popular apps, perhaps a couple of weeks for all of them to be updated.

Other apps, could be 2-3 months for the majority of them.

This is based on my experience with retina updates for the new iPad.

I still have apps (especially magazines) that aren't updated for the Retina screen. Translation: a while.
