How long will MR be up for?

So, I've been thinking. Arn and others won't be around forever (sorry to break it to you :p), what will happen when he decides to 'retire', will other Administrators be decided? Will that decided mod get all the equipment?

Just thinking long term here, not in the next few years.

How much longer do you have Arn?

This site is managed so well, it would be very hard to find somebody as dedicated as Arn is...:(

Personal question. There are many that assist arn.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say we should worry more about Steven, less about arn, in pure health terms.

yup many that assist him for the site in terms of posts and spam etc, but what about the nitty gritty things such as posting the "news", and making the executive decisions..

If you ever read arn's blog, he has stated that in the past couple of years the day-to-day of the site has been handled less and less by him. Hence the hiring of Erik.

i wasnt aware that he had a blog, care to post a link? it would become tiring after a while - i couldnt imagine how much effort it would take to manage it all..thus the offloading to others i guess.
 
Since arn gave up his physician practice just a year ago to focus on MacRumors and other "blogging" projects, I think he's probably got awhile before he runs out of steam. He's got a lot of years ahead of him. :)

Of course, who knows how Apple and the tech industry will evolve over the years, but that's part of the fun.

I will just say right now, i am willing to be hired. :p

No, i think Arn's doing well. not doing as much him self I have noticed and more just managing other managers it seems.

What are some of the other things he has worked on besides Touch Arcade?

id love to be hired, or even contribute to this site a bit more (other then the millions of posts i do everyday haha). i would love to be a part of it.

HA! i should have picked a better title then lol

im not sure what his job would pay, that seems a bit to personal to be asking haha (and age isnt you might say :rolleyes:) :cool:
 
I don't know but if this site ever goes I bet it will be arranged to close on April 1st. That's how the gods roll.

I think it'll be around for a long while. Over all it's a pretty fab site with a lot of people behind the scenes doing their thing to keep it ticking over.

:(:( your bringing bad thoughts into my head! i couldnt imagine life without MR, seriously! the arguements, the friends, the chats.. its all really helping me develop as a person.... (dont laugh)

Calm thyself, dude. :) MR means a lot to me too, as strange as it sounds. I met some very special people through this site, which ultimately ending up changing my life in a big way.
