hi
i have alot of good info in my subscrbed threads.

Should i save the threads as files on my hard drive?
or will they stay here on my account/macrumors servers for YEARS?

thanks.

As far as I know, all threads are kept. If it's something really important to you, I would recommend saving it to your hard drive... just in case.

ok...
this forum is so good...ive never had to ring apple support, as i get faster answers here usually.

Am i right in assuming this board is 95% american members?

As long as the site is around, there is a good change people will be able to Google your username and watch you stick your: foot in your mouth and/or head in your ass.

And like most things, anything you say on-line can survive way too long for comfort and will likely be used against you, by a lawyer or significant other.

Why worry about divorces or job interviews? At some point in the future, after "they" take over the Internet, our new dystopian overlords at The Ministry of Truth will undoubtably find it necessary to rewrite and change some posts to better fit party doctrine, while other posts will simply go down the memory hole.

Fixed that for you, Comrade. 😉
