How long would the 27" ACD last for?

I know what you are thinking, "What a stupid question, these things last for ages and it's nothing to worry about". I'm aware of this.

My question is regarding how long the new ACD will keep it's original sharpness and deep colours. How long will it take for the backlighting to go etc.

Of course, nobody knows, but those who bought the 24" could comment.

Longer than you'd want to keep it!

CCFL backlit panels lose brightness during their usage, LED backlit panels however don't have that problem, so don't worry about that.

I wouldn't worry about it, apple displays last a long time. LEDs also last along time
