W wharzhee macrumors 6502 Jul 25, 2012 #2 sorry, but er. 12v charger? anyway, an iphone charges at abt ~5V at ~1A, so that's about ~5W i don't know if u r trying to put a direct 12V, but that 12V must be step down to its intake specification of about ~5V.

Intell macrumors P6 Jul 25, 2012 #3 The iPhone can draw a maximum of 1.25 amps at five volts. This is about 7(?) watts. My electrical conversion is a bit rusty. It depends on your charger. Some output only 1 amp, others 0.5 amps.
