How many? 3

What for?
1. MacBook Air - my 'netbook' for use on the couch, outdoors, travel and pleasure 🙂 Use it often as my work/main computer. Also iTunes.

2. iMac with 24'' ACD - Desk work, design, email, project management, surfing...

3. HP desktop to Panasonic Vierra 37" TV - downloads, server, NAS, back up.


Favorite - Macbook Air ... fast, cool, fun take everywhere notebook.

Dream/Future Computer - 15" MacBook Air w/ 4gb RAM, 256 ssd, also still want to try a 15" MBP will wait next until next version, maybe replace the iMac with it?

Mac mini (Mid '07) 2 GHz, 2 GB RAM: iMovie, web browsing, just about anything that a PC can't do or a Mac does better.

iMac 233, the original: HyperCard!

Dell Studio 540 2.33 GHz C2Q, 6 GB RAM: Learning Java, games like Sim City 4 and Flight Simulator X.

My favorite in terms of looks is the iMac. Nearly everything else goes to the mini.

My iMac - main computer, web, music, video, gaming
My MacBook - stays downstairs, my wife and I use it sporatically to look things up or goof off while watching TV.
Wife's home built PC desktop - web, graphic/publishing, gaming
Son's HP desktop - anything a 4-year-old would do - web, pictures/art, some kiddie games.
Dell laptop - my work computer, I hate it - slow as molasses in January.

I have 3 machines as well;

1.) iMac 24" - for when I'm at home, though it really belongs to all the family, so I only use it on occasion for when I want a computer with a huge screen.

2.) MacBook unibody 13" - my main computer, take it with me, have all my stuff on it, and whatnots.

3.) Sony Vaio AR 17", use it for blu-ray movie watching and for windows-only programs and P2P services that work better on windows. Stays inside at all times. **Will be installing windows 7 on it soon** 🙂

My favourite would be my macbook.

I have 14 or 15 computers but only actively use 2 of them. The rest have been donated out to friends and family.

My current ones are a 15" MBP (the one in my sig) and I use it for everything. Photoshop, Maya, ZBrush, music creation, vm ware to run windows when programming, corel painter x etc. I love it.

My other one is a 10inch asus eeePC. Perfect for travel and not too small.

looks like most favor a laptop to work as their 'main' machine ... makes sense too nowadays most people are on the go ....
