I think this would be a fun post how many apps do you have in your doc ? I have 43 apps

Ah, OK, I guess you mean "Dock" (started my post before I looked at your attachment... )

19 (14 more than I need, I think)
The permanent number changes often for me - which is how I have used the Dock since the beginning of OS X.
Was there a Dock in the original Public Beta from 2000? I don't remember now.

The only permanent residents of my dock (besides Finder and Trash, obviously) are Thunderbird for email and my Downloads folder. Otherwise, only running apps appear in the dock. I use Alfred to launch my apps, so I have no need for them to just sit in the dock.

I have 34 now, after deleting one I've never used and know I never will - whilst counting them for this post.
There are a dozen or so that I could probably delete, and never miss them.
