How many Apple smart keyboards have you gone through?

Just wondering if others have had the same amount of issues with their smart keyboards as me?

So far I’m on my 4th

1st one was returned within a few days
2nd one lasted about a month
3rd one lasted about 13 months
4th just got my replacement today hope it lasts me for a while

I’m on my 3rd and the one I have is completely dead. It’s difficult to get them to replace it every time at the Apple store. Like they never heard about the problems.

I’m just waiting for the new iPad pros to come out and see what’s the offer in terms of keyboards. I may get a non-apple keyboard.

Yeah I had a very tough time getting my recent one replaced. None of the employees were aware of Apple extending the warranty on the keyboards to 3 years. When I went to pick up my repalcement which they had to order they tried to charge me $200. I had to argue with them about that too.

I would suggest giving the Logitech slim combo a try. I tried it for a few days and it was amazing. If I hadn’t got my replacement then I would have used the Logitech.
