I dont think the stores here in South Africa are official "Apple Stores"!

There are none, just "Apple centres". The equivalent of the genius bar is the "iKnow" bar:)

I've only been to the one in Regent Street, London. Both times I have come away wondering quite what the fuss is about. Sure, they sell some nice stuff, but the cash desk procedure takes too long, it's not particularly clean (I noticed a load of rubbish on the floor) and the layout is awful - too much wasted space.

And then there's all the people using the free web access, who have no intention of buying anything.

I have been to the apple store in Boston back in 2002 (or 2003) and in London a month ago to buy my Mac pro.

Well considering that the nearest Apple store is over an hour and a half away and I haven't got enough money for my merom MacBook Pro, 0.

I was surprised that I've been to 8.
