As I posted, I have 300. Do I use them all? No. Some are on there for those rare occasions when I need it. Some are on there cause my son likes playing them. But most of them are on there because I have the space for them. If I'm not using that space for anything else, why not? Should I suddenly need some space, I could delete a bunch in a minute or two and have tons of space. So I don't see what's nuts about having a bunch of apps.
About 8 are paid (LAN utilities mainly, plus that damn BIRD game I'm addicted to .) Oh, and a paid web browser (alternative to Safari.)
The rest are freebies which get various amounts of use (and many lie dormant which I should delete when I get around to it.)
I find that many of the "freebies" were obtained via price drops to "Free" (using app finder applications) -- so that's where I end up collecting oodles of apps. Interesting in that I keep my desktop/laptop very lean and mean -- no unnecessary crap loaded. But w/this mobile device, I've taken a different road... for the time being.
18 frequent use mission critical apps.
12 important weekly use apps.
3 games including angry birds.
Many tested, rejected, deleted. I'm not an app collector.
