Sorta random... I think it will get a 5MP back camera and a 3.2MP VGA front camera.

VGA is specifically 0.31 MP.

But yeah, I would rather have 5MP like the iPhone 4, but I doubt it's gonna happen. Just give us at least an LED light, for the camera. :)

It'll get the same exact cameras from the iPhone 4; 5MP rear, VGA front for FaceTime.

Side note, I don't understand why the next-gen iPod touch can't get a front camera. Since when did video chatting define a cell phone? Moreover, FaceTime is Wi-Fi only (for the rest of the year, at least), so I don't see why the next-gen won't get a FaceTime cam.

It will get a front camera because it WILL get Facetime. Remember the WWDC keynote..."millions of Facetime devices in 2010". Why would they say Facetime devices and NOT iPhones? Its ridiculous to think they WONT put it in the touch seeing how serious they are about Facetime becoming a standard.

That's a good point! Plus a VGA cam only costs a dollar, literally :D:eek::D

Really? That explains alot....

LED would be nice. Very.

I just checked Apple.com...

The tech specs showed the iPod Touch to be .33" in thickness; the iPhone 4 is .37". I've heard the phone to be noticeably thicker than the Touch many times, but these specs don't show much of a difference. What am I missing?

The touch is 0.33" at the thickest point (it's curved and thus the edges are thinner) while the iP4 is 0.37" (not curved).

The Touch is curved but the iP4 is not. .33" at the thickest point for the Touch.....
