Using the BatteryDetective app in Cydia I found that this far I've gone through exactly 100 charges.

So I'm curious to see how many charge cycles you all have been through?

So post your day of purchase and your charge cycle #.

I bought my iPhone launch day and I'm at 100 as of today.

I'm pretty sure I've ran through more than too many lol... but I don't have a jailbroken phone to check.

Apple should give a reading in their non-jB too like they do with their Macs.

Agreed. But Apple knows best. ;)

*Just a joke! Geez. I'm typing this from an iPad for Pete's sake :p *

Two iPhones:

4S, 64GB, bought on January 17. 73 cycles

3GS, 32GB, bought used Last January, 368 cycles. Outlasts the 4S everyday usually by a full day lasting two days.

I'm guessing around 100 cycles. I discharge it to about 30-40% each day and recharge it to full for the next day. Sometimes, I just leave it plugged in, while on other days I barely use 20%.

Well, I jB the phone. It says I have 240 Cycles used. I got this White iPhone in February this year. Can't believe I have this high count already...

Probably I'd say I average 0.8 charges per day, as I usually run it down to 20%, so I'd guess around 400-500 as it probably lasted longer at first. I have an iPhone 4 which is 1 year and about 11 months I think.

probably because it cant be true. You would have to have been charging it 100% twice a day every day since you bought it.

I actually do charge it about twice a day from 15% -> 100%. I use an iPad 10 Watt charger so it charges from 15% to 100% in about 1.5 hours.

do you have any friends?

how someone can use their phone that much is beyond me!

Well I've owned my iphone 4 for the best part of 19 months now and have charged it every night from around 10% to 100%. So I've probably done around 400-500 cycles by now, not sure really. Feel free to correct me on that lol, I just did 19*30 then decreased it a bit.

Does the charge cycle counter reset or is it tied into the hardware somewhere? I've factory restored the phone[iPhone 4] a few times without restoring from a backup over the course of the last eighteen months.

As it stands though, it's reading 328 charge cycles with a max capacity of 1225mAh compared to the factory capacity of 1420mAh. I've only got 86% of usable capacity left, too. It's honestly depressing.

No the charge cycle counter does not reset at all unless you replace your battery. Even if you restore as new your charge cycle counter will still continue to read.

So I've been jailbroken quite a few times and am currently jailbroken. I am the original owner of a white i4S on Verizon bought on launch date in Oct 2011 with a CycleCount of 261.

Sound abnormal?

Hmm. Compared to the guy above you with his iPhone being 1yr older...yes. Somewhat strange.

297 cycles on my 4. Says i have 85% charge in battery detective, but on my status ba it shows 96%. calibrate?

iPhone 4 purchased in October '11. 331 cycles. Charging right now bar shows 100% and battery detective shows 99.58.

Should I let the phone deplete totally before charging? Or if at the end of the day it's at 40% can I charge it?
