I have the 2011 13" Base MBP and according to iStat, my mbp has only one fan and its the exhaust fan. Is this the correct amount of fans in the 2011 13" base mbp?

Since the 13'' MBPs do not have a dedicated graphics card (the GPU chip) they only have one fan to cool the CPU. The 15 and 17 inchers have 2 fans, one for the CPU and one for the GPU.

Dedicated refers to the fact that dedicated graphics cards have RAM that is dedicated to the card's use, not to the fact that most dedicated GPUs are removable. Dedicated GPUs for portable computers are most commonly interfaced through a non-standard and often proprietary slot due to size and weight constraints.
